Padian travelling

Year

2023

Description
Padian had been a common sight on the Brunei river. It has played an important role in the lifeline and Brunei's economy for the last 500 years. We can see the similarities between Brunei and Labuan water village lifestyle so i think it is a good idea to show our common roots culture. I painted Padian travelling which represents me and my friends travelling to foreign land to find experience and exposure .I also include small houses on the boat to show that wherever we travel, we need to remember where we came from and not to forget our own culture and roots.

Kota Kinabalu in Sabah has always been on my list of places to travel to. So, when the opportunity to visit the city during a work trip came along, I was more than happy to volunteer.

IPOH: PERAK has unveiled the “Ipoh Mural Art” trail map which showcases the artworks in seven locations in the city here. This two hour-long trail will cover places from Jalan Tun Sambanthan to Jalan Bandar Timah-Jalan Panglima-Jalan Bijeh Timah-Jalan Market and Jalan Sultan Iskandar, before ending at Jalan Masjid. Most of the mural arts are drawn by local artists Eric Lai, Bryan Tan, Chris Chow and Mohd Najib Zainudin. Even the famed Ernest Zacharevic from Lithuania had contributed his efforts in creating a mural piece for Ipoh.
