Siri Lukis Kontena : Gadis Melayu Kecil

Year

2020

Description
Showcasing the artwork of a little Malay girl playing with old toy blocks, building the structure of her dream town while looking at the existing site in the Karpal Singh Promenade area - a new developed & unique modern suburb of George Town that has been in a century of development. Extending his vision a little further, he saw, miraculously, how George Town captured the scenery of a well -preserved heritage landscape as well as a modern and stylish city scene at the same time. In his mind, he began to stare with hope, imagining how the future of his dream city would dream.

IPOH: PERAK has unveiled the “Ipoh Mural Art” trail map which showcases the artworks in seven locations in the city here. This two hour-long trail will cover places from Jalan Tun Sambanthan to Jalan Bandar Timah-Jalan Panglima-Jalan Bijeh Timah-Jalan Market and Jalan Sultan Iskandar, before ending at Jalan Masjid. Most of the mural arts are drawn by local artists Eric Lai, Bryan Tan, Chris Chow and Mohd Najib Zainudin. Even the famed Ernest Zacharevic from Lithuania had contributed his efforts in creating a mural piece for Ipoh.
